Bag pick-up: morning of Sat., Nov. 11th
We will be collecting items in early November to benefit the Jeffco Action Center.
Items that we’ll be collecting:
coats,
sleeping bags,
hats, gloves, and scarves,
sweatshirts and sweaters,
blankets,
wool socks, and
boots.
History of this drive:
Ryan Huth, a Sustainable Applewood member, has been coordinating this drive for EIGHT years! As a real estate broker and Sustainable Applewood member, Ryan saw this as a way to give back, and he created this with his colleague, Alicia Kirby, a mortgage loan originator.
This will be the FIFTH year that Sustainable Applewood has partnered in this effort. Passing along winter gear not only is key for the safety and support of so many people, it helps our environment also by reducing items from being in the landfill.
